Make your meetings more meaningful

  • Teams within organizations (both nonprofit and for profit) whose work is focused on social and environmental impact. Leaders reach out because they value their teams, but often don’t have the time or skillset to take a step back and solve for things like:

    • How do I design an annual retreat that helps us connect as a team but also strategically plan for next year?

    • Something feels flat about our monthly all-hands meeting…what’s missing?

    • We’re a remote team, and everyone is tired of Zoom, but we need to connect…how can I make this time more useful?

I’m here to partner with you on these essential questions for optimal team culture and (healthy) productivity.

  • Figuring out how to make the time that teams spend together more organized, effective, and enjoyable. This could look like…

    • New ways of running recurring virtual team meetings that help teammates build trust and connect on a human level

    • Ensuring company values genuinely align with behaviors

    • Designing multi-day team retreats that survey and deliver upon team needs and desires

    • A detailed approach to the “magic in the details”: how does a gathering start and end, what happens during meal times, how do you transition from one activity to another, etc

Why does this matter? We all want to feel like we belong, that our voices are heard, that our work is seen and matters, and that we can grow. Investing in how teams come together and communicate contributes significantly to employee retention, satisfaction, and excellence.

Plus, it makes work more fun for everyone.

  • This varies by partner and largely depends on your needs and the scope of the engagement. Please reach out with some initial information requested in the contact form, and we’ll get the conversation started.

Essential elements of my work

  • Values and Purpose

What are the values that guide your organization? How do those connect with your team’s behaviors and the ‘why’ of your meetings? In order to figure out the best process to achieve the desired outcomes, we have to start at the roots.

  • Design Thinking

Design thinking is a human-centered methodology that creates the conditions for everyone to participate and problem solve. I apply this framework in creative ways to get teams connecting, collaborating, and often coming up with surprising solutions.

  • Relationship Building

I love weaving in ways for people to get to know each other. I intentionally think about the interstitial spaces, those moments in between whatever are the “official” content sessions. They’re the glue of the experience and often where magic happens.

  • Movement and Mother Nature

Humans are mind-body systems. Plenty of research shows that moving our bodies outside, particularly in green spaces, fuels our creative thinking. In any collaboration with me, we’ll integrate these principles.

Getting started

1

Complete and submit the contact form

Share a little bit about what problem you’re trying to solve and any relevant context that would help kick-start our conversation. I’ll get back to you promptly to schedule a call.

2

Connect to refine the scope and define success

On the call, we’ll start getting to know each other, and I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs and desired outcomes. Then, I’ll develop a proposal.

3

Confirm the project and get to work

Once the project is defined and we share expectations, then I’ll get to work! We will have clear moments to connect, offer feedback, and collaborate on something meaningful for your team.
